Goma's Embroidered Invitations
Goma's Embroidered Invitations

The design firm GOMA United Designers designed these embroidered invitations for a work party they were hosting. This piece of type immediately caught my attention because of how physical and tangible it looked. I thought it was unique how they used the embroidery in a way that followed the grid they created. It provides a unique sensory experience that those who might be visually impaired could understand what the invitation means. The embroidered thread is not only used to make experimental type but also acts as a guide for the readers to follow the string down the invitation. I think this is a really fun way to play with touch/feel within a publication.
