Inspired by Donna Haraway's “A Cyborg Manifesto,” this portrait explores Garrett's relationship with Jeremy, his ostomy bag. Through personifying this medical technology, Garrett finds agency over chronic illness. Furthermore, this piece seeks to normalize and celebrate medical augmentations of the body.
