Info
How do we build stronger social ties in an era of alienation and individualism? How do we form political bodies that are large enough to tackle the issues we care about? How do we create communities that affirm the human-ness of the members in a holistic way?
Similarly, what are the benefits of doing this? What will this work cost us? Is there such thing as too much community?
Next, what mechanisms should a community adopt to grow in a sustainable, healthy, and ethical way? How have communities failed in the past? What allowed them to succeed?
I hope to draw from historical examples, speculative fiction, anthropological research, digital and physical subcultural practices, corporate culture, political organizing, art practices, and beyond.
