Pause: Take a moment to appreciate the migrant ‘world’ around you. Take up an artefact, a small stone, a cup, a piece of paper, anything you can handle. Ask it a question. Allow yourself to come into conversation with the object. Consider the ways you are actually producing the object with your sensorial extensions, with sight, with touch, with voice, with concepts. Not that the object doesn’t exist, or is not real, but that its realness emerges within relationship. To turn that analysis on itself, consider how you are actively produced by the object: that in handling it, it is also ‘handling’ you. Consider the ways you exceed this encounter, how the image of the object is just a snapshot of what is becoming in the breathless ongoingness of emergence.
