• when did freedom become distance from the land (aka distance from manual labor and exploitation of others)? What are we actually sacrificing for this 'freedom'?

• working the land ~sustainably~ will always require hard physical labor --> no way around that, so how do we 1) create more land trusts to get land back from gov/industrial agriculture AND 2) incentivize the next generations of middle class to reject upward mobility, be stewards of the land—see the harvest as more fulfilling than privilege, salary, material things, etc.?
